Ritual

The ritual is the sequence of small moves between the urge and the act: closing the door, opening the tab, the search, the scrolling. Each move is small and visible, which makes the ritual the last good place to step off, several minutes before anything you would call the act. The easiest place is earlier still, at the cue.
